Does anybody knows an easy way to compile a PGN file from a bunch of FEN strings?

Not sure if I understand, but if you have a bunch of FEN positions, you can just copy the text of each one, e.g., open the FEN file in Notepad, select the text and copy it, and then paste into the Position Setup window in ChessBase (using the Paste FEN button). Then save the diagram/position you've created into a database. Once you add moves in Chessbase, you can then save to a database or export to a PGN database.

As far as I know, FEN files just explain the setup of a particular position, it's not a record of a game, like a PGN.

This is a good program to convert files FEN to PGN, only you move the file fen on the board and it turns it very rapidly, the output is in the same place where the FEN, the only error that it has and is had that correct it is like turned out to all the games it gives them 0-1, although it is not the correct thing, this can change into the pgn viewer, but at least it turns all the bases you need, I hope that it should serve to many chessfriends, its use is very useful and practical..
